Welcome to the homepage of the University of Surrey Staff and Postgraduate Christian Fellowship (SPCF). This page is here to give you an introduction to the purpose of the fellowship and detail our upcoming activities.
The SPCF is a voluntary group run by staff and postgraduates at the University of Surrey for staff and postgraduates. It exists as a place for Christians to meet together on the campus during the week in fellowship while those with interest in Christianity for whatever reason are also welcome to attend.
Meetings are running every week where they alternate each week between Thursday and Friday meetings. On Thursdays we spend time reading from the Bible in relation to the workplace and praying into what we have learned/discussed. On Fridays we spend time praying for one another and for the University. The timings are scheduled such that we are spending quality time together that is short enough to fit within our busy schedules.
At the present time we are meeting on Zoom and also reserve a room for people to join with their device (or someone else's present) where they can't find space on campus to join. If you would like to join the meetings, please do ask to join our email list so you can get full details by emailing email@spcfsurrey.org.uk and we can add you to the newsletter list, sent roughly every two weeks, in order to receive the links to the meetings as well as updates on room location and other useful information.
Thursday meetings for Semester 2 and summer of 2023 are scheduled as follows reflecting on the scriptures from 1:10pm to 1:45pm held both on Zoom and with a room available for those unable to get a room on campus to meet from:
Friday prayer meetings for Semester 2 and summer in 2023 are scheduled as follows spending time together in prayer from 1pm to 1:30pm both on Zoom and in a room for those not having anywhere to connect from on campus:
